INTERNET AND TECHNOLOGY POLICY

What must students and families know about school technology, internet access, Google Workspace, and responsible use?

LTS requires parents/guardians and students to follow its policies regarding internet use, technology use, and social media at Legacy.

Google Workspace for Education Consent

As part of our instructional program, Legacy Traditional Schools provides students with Google Workspace for Education accounts. Google may collect and use student information solely for educational purposes in compliance with their privacy policies.

By enrolling your child at Legacy Traditional Schools, you agree to the following conditions:

  • I give permission for Legacy Traditional Schools to create/maintain a Google Workspace for Education account for my child and for Google to collect, use, and disclose information about my child only for the purposes described in the notice below: Google Workspace for Education Privacy Notice
  • In addition, I acknowledge that Legacy Traditional Schools allows students to access certain other Google services with their Google Workspace for Education accounts and that my child may have access to the following "Additional Services": Applied Digital Skills, Chrome Web Store, Google Arts and Culture, Google Books, Google Earth, Google Translate, and YouTube.

Internet Use Policy

LTS recognizes that there are many valuable educational resources on the internet and encourages parents/guardians to explore them with their children. Teachers may place resources within Schoology for parents/guardians to access with/for their child(ren).

Technology Use Agreement

Upon enrollment, parents/guardians and students are required to sign the Technology Use Agreement.

Legacy Traditional Schools’ social media sites are places where parents, staff, alumni, and friends are encouraged to interact. The school’s office staff and administration can individually and personally address specific questions of the school.
